...offside lol. Seriously, good luck to young Josiah terneet. Hope he gets some minutes and shows us what he can do.
Really hope he can make it here. His dad was a brilliant player for us but he also has a real love for the club and town. He would be so proud of Josiah if he becomes a first team regular.
Yes would be fantastic to see him develop into a regular 1st team player. It's about time we had someone come through the ranks for competition up front.
Bruce Dyer away at Sunderland Nov 1998 was probably the best individual performance I’ve witnessed by a Barnsley player. Ripped them to bits even though we had 10 men. And I say that even though I was there at Anfield to witness Luke Steele’s performance.
Best performance I saw from Bruce was Crystal palace 0 v 1 Barnsley. And he was playing for palace. Outside of Ginola the best player I saw that season. Got talking to him at another palace away game a few years ago in the stand. Told him what I thought. And he replied John Dennis wanted to sign him based on his performance that night.
Scored a cracking breakaway goal at our end too, to put us 2-0 up after Ashley Ward had got sent off. Still one of my favourite away games to this day.
That or the huddersfield 7-1 demolition job. Everytime we went forward in that game we looked like scoring.
Up there with Sheff Utd, West Brom and Charlton in the promotion season, plus Spurs in the cup, albeit against ten men.
Josiah is a big lad already and could get bigger. Might turn into a bit of a Beast for us. Add his Dad’s scoring skills and we will have a player there for years to come, unless bigger fish take him away
