That’s the Bolton who had won every home game this season except 1 and with the second best defence in the entire EFL. That Bolton.? There aren’t many good teams who are better than us and Bolton.
My thoughts too, Bolton weren't anything special and we could have won if we'd shown the desire to do so.
It's not been a wasted afternoon when I hear Callum our commentator observe that, when Benson took a direct free kick that dribbled pathetically low and wide at the pace of a crippled slug, "he went for power".
That's why I used the word "consistently", as in, he's both managed it like you've said, but didn't appear to have got them playing to standard today in the first half. That said, sounds like we at least had a couple of chances second half and I'm content with the point.
Yep he's not doing much to put up a case for wanting otherwise. I don't like his transparent tactics, we are too easily to read, quite one dimensional. Although I'll give him a sprinkling of credit, many of the wins this season have been a lot to do with the opposition being absolutely devoid of any quality. Any team who has had a go at us has had the better of us. If you are happy with the standard of play this season then that's your perogative, I'm certainly not happy and think we are actually getting worse. We're as close to the bottom 4 as we are to the top 3. It pains me to say it but I'd say we will probably finish 12th/13th this season. That won't help our current financial situation one bit. We need to see massive improvement, like I said on a previous post, just get the basics right. Simple passes, midfield getting tight. We can't go through the season passing like we are, especially the final ball.
MDG sticking to his guns with the Duff Out campaign. Fair play to him. On Planet Earth however, that's probably a decent point against a side who'll be up there in the Spring.
Hopefully. You'll all be calling for it soon. Our setup must a dream for opposing scouts because he never changes his approach. Glad you were happy with how we have progressed in the last 2 league matches.
Wouldn't be as bad if we were losing matches that you come away and think, that was enjoyable. I don't mind losing and having a go, but our football isn't nice to watch atm. I thought the club had gone back to the high tempo pressing game? Somebody ought to let the coaching staff and players know.
Hate to point out but we are more than 2 in now. Sadly we are just starting on the slippery slope and I think Duff would see 14th as an acceptable finish because it beats his personal best. Haha. No seriously though, I think our standards are dropping and it is our managers job to make sure it doesn't happen. Nothing would make me happier than us to do well, I'm just not seeing any improvement from day 1.
That’s why we’re in league 1. The kind of performance one would expect to witness in this league. It’s a decent point away from home against a side who will be pushing for a play off spot.
Time waisting in throw ins, Collins as always, Kane decided to sit down for no reason. Give up we had no true desire to try and get owt late on, we were happy with a point. They certainly weren't
