In spells, Cauley Woodrow was certainly up there, particularly under Stendel and Struber. I think we didn't get the best out of him under Ismael and his inconsistency in his last 12 months puts him in the bracket just below for me.
Couldn’t lace the boots of some other players who left us before no matter how nice they might have been.
But you could also argue that the service to our attackers the last 12 months was basically nil. I do think he lost heart a bit, especially when fans started scapegoating him, but he had undoubted quality, as an actual literal striker of the ball he was very, very good. People like to downplay his penalties, but Alisson won his side 2 extra points by saving one tonight. Ivan Toney gets loads of plaudits for only missing one penalty in 29 (against us, Adam Davies!), and rightly so. Its a lot harder than people think
I think cauleys had his day was very poor last 18 months in a barnsley shirt. 7 starts for luton 0 goals i was glad he moved on.
From Wakey, family are really nice, was same school year as my daughter, nice lad, I'm glad its worked for him, always looked like a great prospect for us, Villa move probably came too early but its difficult to turn down 16k a week....
