    He’s a decent player and we should have kept him. He’s not better than cole though

    He had enough (too many in my opinion) chances with us. Sometimes a fresh start is needed.

    I’m not sure about that tbh. Not a lot between them.

    We can’t have offered that good a contract if we missed out on him to Burton Albion.

    George Miller I don’t think was good enough tbh though I’d have had him if I knew we would sign absolutely nobody. We lost Woodrow, Morris, Adeboyejo and Miller from the centre forward pool in the summer - and have signed Norwood and a kid in Tedic who wasn’t even meant to be in the first team squad.

    And some midfielders/wingers who aren’t very good...

    Martin and Phillips. Wow.

    Some of the abuse I got last week regarding Martin was ridiculous. I said he holds onto ball too long, and always runs side ways or back wards, even when there seems to be a much better option. Hes a dweller with the ball. Thought it was a fair opinion I had on him. But some people must have thought I killed their cat whilst giving that opinion.

    I think it probably was so much negativity towards him watching him get cheered off the field at blackpool when the other 2 forwards minght aswell have spent the afternoon at the pleasure beach.
    He obviously thought a move was best for him hes at a side expected to finish low down the table but has scored 7 in 7. More than anyone we have.

    Im a big fan of Vic mate and thought we should have kept him, have a search through posts if you like - I just think Cole is a better player and his gs record supports that

    Fair enough - I’m yet to see any evidence of that though.

    Not this season it doesn’t. And Vic is in an even worse team than ours!

    I’d love to know what was offered, for him to refuse it and end up at Burton.

    I’d also love to know who we bid £300k for and didn’t get, as I’d wager he wouldn’t have been a better bet than him either.

    Adeboyejo has seven goals and an assist this season for a side in the relegation zone in this division.

    Was he great in the championship? No. Was Cole?

    But Vic would have been as good as anything else we’d have brought in at this level. As it is we brought in nothing other than Norwood and a leftfield signing of Tedic which can only be seen as a favour to Man City as I can’t see any benefit to us thus far. We are desperately, woefully short.

    Oh yeah. Thomas-Asante. Not sure we were ever likely to get him as there was other championship interest as well.

    He hasn’t set the world alight thus far but has got a couple, looking into it.
