My son in law has opened the above named at the top of Regent Street. It’s a great little micro pub, fitted out beautifully. It would be great to see forum members, families and friends pay a visit. Look forward to seeing you. Cheers
Is there any chance they'll be getting some real ales in, or some different craft beers? The offerings look much the same as everywhere else and the town could do with a bit of variety. It looks really nice though and in a good location. Will certainly pay it a visit next time I'm up.
Thanks for the replies guys. He will be opening at 12 on Saturdays. I believe he’s having a different guest beer each month in addition to his regular beers. Cheers
Had a quick chat with him. Any suggestions for a guest beer he would welcome from you Jamo. Tim Taylors Landlord at moment a staple. He’s going to try Wednesday to Sunday opening but will see if it’s viable re Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thanks
Gutted. Seen the signage going up a few weeks ago and was looking forward to taking a pair of trousers in for shortening.....anyway, best of luck to him in his new venture.
It depends on whether he's gonna solely have keg beer or keep some cask beer (handpull) too. Landlord is great stuff but as far as I know it's cask only so won't go on the keg lines he's got at the moment. If theres going to be cask beer, there's some cracking local breweries like Nailmaker, Acorn, Whitefaced - it'd be great to see a beer or two from them on. If its going to be keg only then Nailmaker and Whitefaced do some fantastic beers, all sorts of IPAs, pale ales and sours. Further afield you can't go wrong with some of the more popular craft breweries like Verdant, Cloudwater, Neon Raptor, Brew York, Northern Monk and so on. That's just me though and I do appreciate being asked, thank you
We went in yesterday afternoon and enjoyed it, its small but the friendly staff were great. The most entertaining bit is the trip hazard on entering and leaving . Poor postie nearly face planted .
Was in last night, good little pub. Trip hazard needs sorting though, everyone walking in was tripping over it.
