We do have a government when there is a general election the PM at the time is still the PM and ministers are still ministers they don't leave office until the day after the vote or as in 2010 until there is an alternative in place. The statement that we can't have an election at the moment because we wouldn't have a government for 25 days is just a Tory excuse nothing more nothing less because they know they'd lose.
What an absolutely disgusting piece of sh*t poor pathetic Gerry is. Bet his family are proud of him. Cretins like him make me vomit.
He's not able to get 100, it's hilarious because he's already lied about it and is now panicking like mad. He asked Mordount to lend him her 22 backers and she told him no, that hers would rather have Sunak as second choice and that he should give her his! It'll be brilliant if Sunak gets in by default as the Tory members will spit their dummies out at not getting a vote, especially as they don't want Sunak anyway and may punish the Conservatives at the next election as revenge. Bye bye Tories. Edit: Sunak's team now saying that he is 4 votes off it being mathematically impossible for more than two candidates on ballot paper.
Old Gerry does though, I think, put the finger on Johnson’s appeal. It’s nothing to do with politics, it goes a lot deeper. Johnson’s tub-thumping act is about World-Beating British Greatness, Empire, cricket on the village green, the Dambusters, white cliffs of Dover and 1966. It’s about Britain’s exceptional greatness. It’s a myth but it’s ingrained in psyche of people like Gerry. They love their country and anyone who dare’s question the myth or doesn’t look like they fit in… well they don’t love their country.
My only worry is that the fools who voted for Johnson because he was a bit of a laugh will vote Farage next time (despite 99.9% of them not living in the right constituency)
That's where I'm at too. The only way to an early general election is for the Tories and their union jacks and Spitfires membership to make an even greater tragic **** show out of the current one and bring down overwhelming pressure from all corners to force them to go to the country. To that end I'm rooting for Boris.

The fat useless pri(k decided to jet home, from a holiday he shouldn’t have been on in the first fkn place. Then when he fails to get Mordaunt to give him her supporters, he graciously bows out, even though he could have walked it. JRM, Dorries, Wallace and Zahawi seem to be the only acolytes left. There should have been rules in place to stop him even putting himself forward. He should be banned for life.
