    Even by their low standards thats an absolute humdinger

    The only reason he has pulled out is because if he didnt his true number of supporters believed to be around 60 by most sensible journalists would be there for all to see and he would be declared a failure

    His little panto yesterday means that those who want to can still believe he could have run - even though he didnt have the numbers

    Did Sunak get replaced by an animatronic just after he entered CON party HQ and make that brief public acceptance speech? He looked like he was glued to an autocue with glazed eyes and speech content that was a cliche every acceptance speech ever delivered. The "work tirelessly... unite the party and the public (yeah...good luck with that one)...blah, bl..blah, blah" was mind numbingly boring.

    Unless he has changed tack and adds ratrher than reverses some of Hunt's proposals.. (e.g. windfall taxes on Energy companies) that he originally ruled out then things will go from bad, to worse to catastrophic for many (already well on the way to that).

    Can't stand the guy. Just another upper class, austerity-for-the-masses-loving, tax-dodging, law breaker imho. Fair play to him for ignoring Hancock here though :)
