What does this achieve? If you want to protest for a good cause then go to the right places like India and China who are doing for less than the UK and see what happens.
The thing is all it promotes is a dislike towards their movement. I can’t stand them, Infact the way they behave makes me want to go darn to jet garage and purchase 200 litres of diesel and set fire to the lot. Absolute set of unwashed imbeciles.
As someone who is convinced we need climate action I have to say I think they're counter productive. Anyone who is undecided, able to be swayed is unlikely to be impressed by their pretty childish actions. It's just providing red meat for gammons I'm afraid.
Like those vigilante paedophile gangs. All they achieve is acquittals because it goes down as entrapment.
Not strictly true. When done right, they tend to get good results. They shouldn't have to, though. That's what happens when you cut public services.
I'm talking about those chavs that accost people at Parkgate shopping centre and plaster it all over facebook. Laura's showing me the video's all the time. She's unfortunately one of the Jeremy Kyle, facebook, snapchatters herself.
They don't live in India or China and few people would have the money to go there. Even fewer would have the desire to go there, particularly to China where they'd likely spend years in jail. Personally I think they are doing a great job raising the issue up the agenda and it's also quite funny to see them doing things like this - things which do NO harm to anyone or anything. The UK is doing more than the places you mention but nowhere near what we could be doing, just because China and India are dragging their feet is no excuse for us to sit on our arses like we have for the last 12 years. And don't forget that these young people will have to live their lives with the consequences of the damage WE are doing to the planet.
Thumbs up from me, no one’s been hurt and it certainly got the word out that we need to stop using oil. it’s even raised the issue on this forum.
In answer to your first sentence.... well, they got your attention for starters and you then posted it on here...
Totally agree, moving away from oil is a painful process but not half as painful as relying on murderous despots like the Saudis for our energy.
It's funny how peaceful protest in some, brings out the sociopath in others. Quite disturbing really..
