Has anyone on here got a full season? And if so, could they do me a favour please? I'm after the stats from the supporter's club section where, i think it was Dave Copping(but could be way off the mark), used to say how many folk travelled on each coach away from home?
I started attending and getting programmes in 1976 with Bradford City at home being the first one so I don’t have the full season. I will check the ones I have but it may be a few days as they are somewhere in the loft and access is not easy for me. Dave Copping does seem to stir something in my memory banks by the way. I saw Eric by the way last night and acknowledges your regards but he can’t quite place you Wuz1964
I more than likely have most from that season but they’d have been in boxes at my dad’s when he passed away a few years back. Never got around to unpacking stuff and not quite sure where it all is now to be honest. If no one else can help I’ll get round to having a look.
I have looked in a couple of programmes from that season & a man called Mike Spinks mentioned that 31 went to Stockport & 40 went to Southport,but this was only the official supporters coach.If i remember right Yorkshire traction took buses picking up at the bus station.
“A man called Mike Spinks.” Giving away your youth there Buddy. Spinksy was a feature of our youth - and not as part of the Supporter’s Club either. He threw me out of the ground a couple of times when caught climbing over the wall behind the Brewery Stand.
31 Stockport, 10 Workington on a mini bus.and 29 Watford is all I could glean from the haif a dozen programmes I have although it looks like the write up was replaced with voting for player of season at the back end of season.
