    Not forgetting Archer.
    Our main strength has been the number of all-rounders we’ve had like Stokes, Ali, Curran and Woakes but Stokes isn’t doing it with the bat and Ali the ball.
    Anyway, let’s hope the Irish game is a minor blip.
    We’ll still be fancied to beat Aus on friday

    I'm getting into it but in general I agree with you. Think one day internationals show more skill.and guile.

    Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 1 run … and they fully deserved it and never gave up. Boy did their fans celebrate !

    that is bigger than ireland beating us for me, rain stopped us from probably winning but magnificent from zimbabwe today in a low scoring game
    roll on 9am tomorrow, win that and we should progress, though read we never won a t20 in melbourne, but with nz losing a point v afghan too so beat them to keep us in the mix
    nrr could play a part

    Looks like Pakistan will be out … beaten twice on last ball.
    The bad weather was forecast a while ago so there’s nowt we can do but pray to Mr Duckworth and Mr Lewis every night before our slumbers.

    we beat aussies and SL but lose to NZ then net run rate may come into place, still reckon 2 wins out of any 3 should see us through "by the barest of margins" to quote something someone once said

    Melbourne with more rain just this week than the usual October monthly average. Sydney as well has apparently had twice as much rain this season as usual with two months left of it.

    Annoying for the Cricket but the locals will be preferring it to the horrible fires they have had in recent years.
