    It was well under 10k which just goes to show how successful ‘Trickle down economics’ can be in an area like Barnsley. We now have so many affluent ST Holders they are unconcerned about actually going along to the game.
    Would never have happened in the ‘Olden Days’.

    Away in Lake District for the week so missed the game today. Glad the Reds won and perhaps now we will build up a head of steam and move onwards and upwards. We still are not the finished article and so I was disturbed to see how some were too quick to criticise Michael Duff after Lincoln result. We cried out for a British manager who knew this league and now we have one. Give the man a chance and eventually I feel it will pay off. We'll done Reds!

    According to the BBC 9551 people attended. However, as a not so affluent season ticket holder not living in the Barnsley area, I was not one of them so that figure is overstated by at least 1.

    Attendance doesn’t worry me unless we average 20,000 and then it’ll take 2 hours to get out of car park
