    David Speedie. Trouble is. we didn't realise. What an outstanding striker was within the ranks as we played him in midfield.
    Currie and Dyer for me would be up there.

    Blanchflower and Glavin although Glavin only briefly played for Scotland but we all know he was the king !

    Another good shout.
    A move to Man utd was on the cards. But wendy wouldn't budge. If he'd been allowed to leave his international career would have kicked on under fergie. Imo.

    You're right mate. :) I just don't know how we missed a trick which Darlington discovered straight away. And he ended up playing at the highest level many a year. As a striker.

    Brilliant stadium. Superb social club. Saw us there once. Apparently Rugby played on it now.
    Just found an interesting fact. Darlington fc. Can't achieve promotion to the next level due to their present ground not meeting requirements. Sad indictment.

    Think he’s been said but agree he was top class.
    I think him and Andy Payton had the best pace over a few yards and didn’t waste many shots off target

    Brilliant player for us & goes alongside Morris as been very under rated by lots of our fans.

    When he was sold plenty of our fans were in here saying they were glad as it meant we wouldn’t play long ball. Even thought we never really played long ball with Moore up top. He was a very skilled footballer for a big lad.
