Basically down to profit over service. Surely if water was harnessed properly and leaks fixed there’d be enough rainfall in the UK to avoid any droughts. Only areas I’d have thought susceptible would be the flat areas like Lincolnshire and Norfolk. Shareholders and profit first, service and maintenance second.
If anyone didn't know if you have a blue badge parking (disabled parking badge) you are exempt from the hose pipe ban.
Anglian Water who predominantly cover Lincolnshire & Norfolk are one of few if not only water board not to have issued a hose pipe ban. They claim down to maintenance works.
