Probably the most comfortable win we’ll have all season and well deserved but couldn’t believe how tame Mk dons were especially when they went 3-1 down they never showed any attacking intent to get back into it.

i think it will come. Unless there are injuries I think he'll get short stints at first. Agree I'd love to see him getting a longer stint, especially if we are a couple of goals up in a match & he can stretch the opponents, like today.

I thought we should’ve been ahead at half time but for a bit of a lapse on our part.

    Total domination second half.

Should’ve been winning that game by more than a 2 goal margin but a win’s a win.

Imho I thought there were a few mom contenders today bur Connell gets my vote...(well assisted by Kane) but controlled the pace...dictated the game and wasted very little pass wise.
Cadden eas great too and must be disappointed he didn't get at least 2 assists with his quality delivery.
Can we play Mk dons every week please!

    ?

Ipswich and Plymouth aside do you actually think there is any real quality in this league? I don't rate areas of our squad but we're in 5th place. If we keep going to the transfer window and then strengthen we should be good for the play offs.
I stand by what I put that in general this league is awful. There's some shocking teams

Wednesday and derby both stronger squads than ours posh have better attacking players. Our squad isnt as good as many make out i think duff is doing a good job.

Derby will probably go out and get Ronaldo and Messi in the new year and become a big spending threat with more quality players.

Two decent loan signings up top are a must if we want to make the playoffs and I’d like to think we’ve already targeted who we want. Tedic out for 8 to 12 weeks according to Duff.

I’d rather we sign a replacement for Thomas than a striker as I’m assuming he’s out for most of the season.

I think they must have looked up and seen about half of their 300+ streaming out as our third went in. They had obviously written it off so the players did the same.

I thought they looked a threat in the first half and confirmed it when they scored - albeit with their first effort when we could easily have been 2 or 3 goals to the good. I was thinking "here we go again". Second half they were largely absent and it took them till after we were 3-1 ahead before their second and last effort. My view was obscured so I wasn't sure if Collins saved it or a defender. Anyway a comfortable win, well played lads.

Yeah a win is a win, and we're in some good confident form again right now, and we're nicely placed in 6th.
BUT, its all about January again, and just what the owners are prepared to do. They've promised they will back Duff if we're doing well and a signing or two needs to be made.
But I don't believe them or trust them, so we'll have to wait and see.

Having been to the match & really enjoying the match I thought I would read the match day thread & to be honest I was amazed how many armchair critics we have on here, surely it would be better to watch the match through what ever means for the full ninety minutes & then sum up on what you have seen instead of piling in with knee jerk reactions, its an old saying but " think before you speak " comes to mind

With this 3-5-2 formation we are now playing (and looking much better with) I think the bigger need is a proper centre forward. We have more width, more control of the ball in the middle of the park, don’t have as big a need for the ‘link’ player which Thomas did so well when we were playing 3-4-3. We create chances and dominate again, the squad is much better suited to this shape with three central midfielders and width from the wing backs.

How many great balls across the six yard box went unfinished today? On top of the twenty shots we had?

A proper ‘9’ (as is the modern way of describing it) gets a hatful today. And as bad as MK were they aren’t much worse than a lot of what we will face.

That performance today beats 90% of the teams in this league, maybe more, so long as the chances are taken.

The breakthrough today came from Cole going past their best defender on the halfway line - something we don’t do enough of.
This has been done best this season by Thomas. If he isn’t back this season IMO we need to fill his role.
