    Kitchen is one of those players that 'is growing into his skin' it seems to me. There's a few at the Club who have improved as the season has gone on imo. He's one of them.

    That tackle he made yesterday was exceptional. He'll never be Helik or Anderson but if he continues to improve that should be more than adequate for this Division.

    The problem for me is that for every moment of quality, like the brilliant last gasp challenge yesterday, there is always a reminder of his inadequacies - like the comical (in hindsight because we won) way he was ‘megged in his own box so easily, or the booking he got himself.

    He has attributes that is clear: I just don’t ever see him putting them together into one coherent and competent performance. Certainly not at centre back anyway.

    I still love him for his performance at Hillsborough - he opitomised the spirit I want to see in every Barnsley player pulling on the Red Shirt when facing that lot.

    Candidate for MOTM for me, outstanding tackle as noted, he’s much better than Mads at playing the ball out of defence. He gets better and better.
