    The point was raised re the uk/Britain. ? Not sure what you mean tbh. I wasn't having a go, just saying sometimes we are blinkered into thinking all Brits of other denominations are open minded.
    Religion of any kind has a lot to answer for.

    12 years since Qatar was awarded the World Cup - since then not one country has withdrawn from the competition or raised concerns in protest at the Human Rights violations in Qatar or because of the treatment of migrant workers.
    (N.Korea withdrew because of Covid)
    Not a single Government has challenged the Qataris on Human Rights -
    (if you're dependent/going to be dependent on Qatari natural gas in the future you're not going to make much of a fuss!)

    Was wearing the 'One Love Armband' ever going to make an impact?

    (Denmark F A NOW threatening to leave FIFA because of their stance re the armband!)
