FA CHARGE | SPECTATOR BEHAVIOUR Club News Barnsley FC has been fined £30,000 and ordered to implement an action plan for breaching FA Rule E20 during its EFL League One fixture against Bristol Rovers FC on Tuesday 16 August 2022. Continue reading on the official site...
Fkin hell these fines are piling up and becoming more and more expensive, seems we have one every week at this point. When will scummy fans realise their childish behaviour is affecting club that they apparently love? Its embarrassing and its sad
I do not understand how the club is responsible. They follow the guide lines of the police and stewards. Sureky it is those two groups who should be to blame.
About 77 season tickets. Couldn't really blame the club for putting up prices next year to offset the cost.
Are other clubs getting as many fines as we are? An actual quote would be nice too, along with context.
Pri(ks. Club is on shaky ground taking the moral high ground though, after what went on at Shrewsbury.
Hopefully those involved can be tracked down and made to pay it. The same idiots will be complaining we aren't spending cash in January when their actions will impact the budget we have to mount a promotion challenge in the new year. It's unfair for our club to have to pay this. What are they suppose to do? Make all supporters sit quietly? All they can do is inject people as soon as they say it, but getting fined for something that happens they they cannot react to as they don't know it's going to happen? Sounds harsh.
Overdose of barbiturates might do it. Like on All Creatures Great and Small when it's time to put down a dog. Put them into a permanent sleep.
That's not true though. We employ the stewards. It's our responsibility. Remember after the James McClean debacle when the club were criticised by the discipline committee for not putting out announcements immediately upon hearing the chanting. I don't remember you in any announcement from the club after the sexist chanting against Bristol either. Collapse and we learnt our lesson from the first incident where we was find we wouldn't get a further fine for taking the exact same inaction.
Well I was at that match and I don't recall hearing it. Would I be wrong to think it would be some in the Ponty End?
Wokeism and PC nonsense, according to some on Facebook - hope they don't have daughters! People so often mix woke up with a bit of common deceny
The club have been given an action plan by the FA which must be implemented by 31 December and will remain in place for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. This includes conducting a full review of stewarding provisions and deployments, develop proactive supporter initiatives to address the potential for discriminatory supporter behaviour and deliver an appropriate diversity and education programme in association with the local authorities. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/63821666
That's all well and good. You know, as well as I and everyone else, that the ones who's causing the problem, don't care. And never will. You can educate as much as you want, if folk don't want to be educated, they won't listen. Pissing in the wind springs to mind
