...the same price as his 2010 tour as he says you have to meet people halfway as times are hard....
Then the resale sites have snapped them up ( reports are the website crashed and then people say Ticketmaster was throwing people out of the online queue after 3 hours and pushing them to the back of the queue when they reconnected!)
There are also reports of some resale sites asking £1100 per ticket. Now I know some argue if people are daft enough to pay it...(supply and demand and all that) but it is effectively 'touting' which I though fir individuals was illegal and yet these big businesses seem to get away with it.

I have to say, I like Peter Kay as , like his peers... Jason Manford, Kevin Bridges to name but two he specialises in 'observational comedy' taking the 'ordinary everyday stuff we all say or experience 'and finding the funny side of it. That said I admire all stand up comics... takes incredible bottle to stand there with just a microphone and nothing else between you and an audience and trying to make people laugh.

The master of observational comedy, years ahead of his time was Bobby Knutt for me.
Bit like Paul Futcher being one of the best footballing centre halves. Afore they became normal.

I've just read his 2 autobiographies mate. Panto was a favourite of his. (Told a cracking/hilarious tale of one he did in Barnsley.) Both brillant reads. I didnt realise he'd had a very interesting career. Barring WMC's. Panto. And some tv parts.
He was well in with a lot of the top comedians of the day. And it was Bob Monkhouse who gave him the wherewithal to do observational comedy. He absolutely packed out the wmc's and won comedian of the year in clubland many times. Never used bad language.

I lost track of him after Phoenix Nights really. The stuff he did before then was superb. Ice Cream Man cometh etc. saw him at Leeds varieties many years ago and he was brilliant. Be interesting to see if anything has changed, or if he’s now just a very wealthy middle aged bloke saying ‘what’s all that about’ a lot

He was constantly adding dates. My wife decided late that she wanted to go see him. I got tickets on see tickets 2 days after the went on sale. It’s quite a bit away but we still easily got tickets.

regarding ticketmaster absolutely no idea why anyone would use that site if same tickets are for sale else where. See tickets and Eventium far easier and fairer when trying to buy tickets. Not put in a queue at place 500k for 15k tickets

Should do what some acts do which is get resale tickets taken down and you get your name on your ticket then have to show picture ID at the venue so the name on the passport or driving licence matches the name on the ticket and the photo on it matches the person showing it.

Not Peter Kay but goes to show the state of the entertainment and all the greed behind it.

It is Justin Hawkins talking about a Taylor swift concert i find it interesting that this is allowed to continue.

On the $22k ticket Taylor swift example. 44 to make $1m . I'd love the touts and profiteers to end up not selling any. even at face value.
    On a similar theme.
Christiano Ronaldo wages at man utd. Were p.a. £26.8m
    Cheapest adult season ticket £530
    26.8 m ÷ 530 = circa 50,000 season tickets.
    Obscene. The world is mad.
I know sponsorship and tv income cover most of it but, ffs.
