Senegal fans are awesome. Just enjoying the occasion. It has been a nice World Cup, despite the politics. I’m the wokiest bloke, but every nation deserves to compete & have their moments in the sun..:)c

France will be a different game, altogether. I think Southgate played this perfectly.
Some are still suffering the Hemsworth Tyke delusion, that there isn’t a respectable opposition, who are equally trying to win the same football match.:)

Being controlling & precise is completely different from how we started though in my opinion. We were sloppy, slow and had no outlets, as evidenced by us losing the ball and presenting them with chances on multiple occasions, Southgate & his staff won't be looking at the first 30 minutes and be happy, he'll be concerned. This second half is much more of an accurate representation of controlling the play & picking our moments

Bit disappointed that some of the other squad members didn’t get subbed on. I would have liked to have seen Maddison have 10 minutes.

We were sloppy, yes. That's not what I was referring to though. I was referring to people complaining about us playing slow, passing it around at the back etc.

Fair enough bud I can agree with that then. As long as we keep learning from it, think pundits said it best, half hour of stress, 60 minutes of calm waters. Fortunate that Pickford saved us, but that's exactly what he's there for. We looked a different side soon as we scored. Fingers crossed for more of that against France matey

Congratulations England! I wanted Senegal to win, to be honest, but in the end there was no doubt about who deserved it. I think that England has easily been the most convincing team in the tournament so far, and this victory at last should make you the biggest favourites to win the World Cup.

If we were in control & not making mistakes, keeping the ball and always have options for first 30 I'd be fine with that if we're just biding our time and then picking them off, but we definitely rode our luck for a lot of it. Stones & Maguire giving the ball away because no options so taking risks, Saka losing the ball where they nearly scored, Pickford made atleast 2 great saves. But as we said, soon as we scored we ran it, complete control, mistakes got cut out, always showing for the ball, keeping it nice & safe. Eaaaasy

Love that from Foden about Bellingham "I don't want to big him up too much but he has no flaws and he'll be the best midfielder in the world"

I have to agree with him bud, off the top of my head I can't think of any player who plays in his role & position who's better at his age

Yeah he's great. I just love the fact that he's so good that "not bigging him up too much" is saying he'll be the best midfielder in the world

Some wrong uns around. Apparently he had family in at the time who are understandably shaken by it all.

France looked very shaky at the back in the 1st half against Poland considering Poland are heavily reliant on just Lewandowski as their goal threat. Like England they struggled for most of the 1st half to break through against a stubborn Polish side and only scored in the 44th minute. Like England once the breakthrough occured they controlled the game.
Against England they will face more of an attacking threat so not have the same sole focus and freedom to break down the opposition .

Not disagreeing that France are faristronger opposition that England have faced thus far but what people have been saying about England ..." we only beat Iran and Wales...wait until we come up against Senegal..." Well we did and won 3-0. Whatever you think of the 1st half.... It was, in the end a comfortable win.
Remind... me how many have England scored in the comnpetition so far?
Our attacking threat is equal to any side left in the last 8.
