Going to try making it illegal to strike in some cases. Imho a general strike on the way (if he interferes). to support nurses etc. . The winter of discontent will look like childs play.
I truly hope so. Companies are making record profIts & donating to Tory HQ to keep up the good work. Keep the serfs starving & needing work. Get the Tories out at the next election. If we don't we are moving back to pre-war times.
The withdrawal of labour is the only power the working man has left. That this shower would seek to ban it shows how low they'll go. If (they won't) they ever got this through it would spell the end for many public services and especially the NHS which is already at an all time low. They will attempt to go down the route they went with the police and offer a few quid to give up all their bargaining power ending in massive under funding and staff cuts. Hopefully nurses, teachers, emergency service workers, postmen, rail employees and the rest won't fall for it.
I don't base my opinion on a few people on the BBS mate. But listening to the unions and the workforces. I thought the december thread was going astray with a lot of criticisms of individuals and not proper conversations. (I guess I'll have to put up with the same on this thread at some stage. Same people slagging one another off, it becomes boring after a while) Which is on a different theme given Sunaks latest threats.
Perhaps. Perhaps I just don't want to admit how far our country has fallen in 12 years since they've been in power...
Genuine question here, will striking in all sectors and industries make things better? Im self employed so won’t be taking part in any strikes but what is actually needed to try to start to make tings better again? I agree this government have made a right ****** of things but do you think another party would be steering the boat better?
The sheer entitlement of thinking that you can make people work against their will. I think a general strike is on the way.
That's not really the question needing to be asked though. Why do people who apparently represent & work for us, feel they have the right to stop people from protesting/striking ?
Cheers for posting based on political opinion without resorting to personal insults and talking down to anyone. We don't agree that's clear but at least you're always decent.
Wrong. Do you know how the voting system works. Yes I voted Tory but my vote went down the toilet. I live in a Labour seat. Wingfield Rotherham.
Nah - No no idea whatsoever how it works. But many red wall labour areas did lend their vote on the promise of getting Brexit done. But you must be very naive or downright stupid to think they wouldn’t run with it. Which they did. Brexit-related motivations topped the list of reasons why people voted Conservative. Just over one in five (21%) of those who cast their ballot for the Tories said that they did so because they thought the party was the best on Brexit.
But they didn't Labour won my constituency so the Tories didn't get my vote it didn't count under our electoral system.
