I don’t think it’s always foggy at 9.30 but it’s always sunset at a known time. In parts of Northern India, they start a lot of games at 9.00 according to internet search. Anyway, it stays a bit lighter longer in Multan than Rawalpindi so game on for tomorrow wearing miners helmets
Let's just hope the fog doesn't ruin it too much. Apparently this week the pollution in the area as read as severe. In other news Ballance has been let go by Yorkshire...... https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/...or-fresh-start-in-wake-of-racism-case-1348592 We've also signed Neil Wagner for the first ten county championship matches.... https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/...r-yorkshire-county-championship-spell-1348685 Two good bits of business there. Ballance needs a fresh start and Wagner is underated. He got a five for earlier today at the beautiful Seddon Park...... https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...vs-auckland-10th-match-1328623/full-scorecard
That was stupid from Pope. He's given the debutant spinner his fourth wicket. It's no good being angry with yourself when you've played a ridiculous reverse sweep shot.
That's how he's told to play though I guess. If we're full of praise for the likes of last week, we can't really be annoyed when we're 250 all out of 40 overs in another game.
And stupid from Brook as well just giving his wicket away. There's playing positive and then there's been reckless.
Different pitch so adjust how you play to the conditions. I'm not saying be negative, still play positively but these last 2 wickets have been given away from reckless shots. The run rate was absolutely fine at 5.6po so no need to force the issue.
There shouldn’t really be any reason to sky their shots but that’s how it’s going to be I suppose. “ It’s cricket Jim, but not as we know it “
I can see why England are playing this way though. Playing steady you're always going to have a ball with your name on it. We could have been 80-5 batting conservatively. At least this way we could be all out for 300 instead of 150 and have sumat to bowl at.
Haha. Good to see overseas sorted earlier. Wagners team mate at Northern Districts called Joe Carter helped Scholes win the Drakes Premiership in 2015 in the second of his three spells there. Poor start by England today but still well in the match. They need a good partnership and hopefully we can get well over 300.
They've lost 6 wickets for less than 100 runs. People can say what they want about playing positive but that's just not good enough. Will now need the bowlers to try and get us back into this game.
Let's hope the low total is the pitch. We will soon know when we get to bowl on the same surface. Good debut for the young spinner, but it's a good job he picked up wickets or his five runs per over figures would have looked expensive.
Guessing we've either misread the pitch, or had no intention of picking Rehan Ahmed. Could do with a second frontline spinner.
**** shots. No way to get out. Play the ball properly instead of looking like an idiot when it doesn't work. Wood had the right idea trying to smash it down the ground.
