    Soon as final penalty won it for Argies i turned over the tv i can’t stand watching them celebrating and the pundits kissing Messi’s arse.

    The Dutch have always been Shi t e at penalties. Not only that. If you watched previous Finals and Semi Finals they've played in they never seem to get the intensity right. They'll blitz someone in the group stage and last sixteen but shrivel up like a micropenis in the knock outs.

    They've all the tools but no idea how to use them.

    Don't they now "reset" the old bookings at this stage of the tournament? Players who get a second yellow in the quarter finals are suspended in the semi final of course, but the only way to get suspended from the final is to get sent off in the semi final. At least that's how it's been before... I think... Maybe. :D

    That was a bit harsh on Holland, but they didn't look that great in the group matches. And now they are out after their first proper 'test'.
    We/England are usually the same, and so are Brazil today.

    It's a bizarre tactic to play through extra time with the intent of taking the game to penalties, when you have a history of losing them.

    Southgate take note.

    They were getting real joy with what brought them the extra time. Total brain fart for me. Actually what the Dutch did in extra-time spoilt the game.

    Sounds daft but I'd rather loose trying to win.

    I've just checked and you're absolutely right. They used to wipe the slate clean after the group stages, but this has now been replaced by doing it from the semis.

    Imho ref ruined the game..ridiculous performance.
    The only person on the pitch safe from any cards was Messi. Despite his majestic hand ball in the middle of the pitch (where he literally jumped up like an Olympic diver and took the laces out of the ball) and the amount of times he went to ground with no one within half a meter was nauseous. Don't get me wrong he's been my favorite player in the world for a long time but it was getting where (and I hate this phrase) he didn't even have to "invite the contact" to get a free kick. Btw why has that become acceptable saying in the game?
    Argies deserved their victory no doubt...... but with him and Ronaldo's Portugal they absolutely get special rules......hope this doesn't apply to Mbappe tonight.
