I'm due an upgrade but not 100% sure what to go for. Considering a Google Pixel 7, and wondered if anyone has one on here? Or what would you recommend? I've had 2 different Huawei's over the last 6 years, and loved them, but they're no longer an option due to privacy concerns. Previously had Samsung's and liked them, but thought they were always slightly inferior to the Huawei's I had for a slightly higher cost. Never got the appeal of an iPhone, but more than happy to be convinced otherwise.
I upgraded from Samsung to Oppo and regretted it as I think my old Samsung was a better phone. I've only had one decent phone. My Galaxy S5. Wish I had another.
Samsung always been good for me - got a cheaper A52 - great phone. Days of paying for a top of the range phone are over
Yeah I've thought that for a while. Mobile technology seemed to peak a few years ago now. I've no major issues with my current phone; it occasionally crashes on Google based apps which is annoying, but expected as Google are winding down compatibility with Huawei. I know that if I upgrade, I'm going to end up with something with the same functionality, but after 4 years of this phone, I fancy a change. I think my Mrs has a Samsung A51; she'd switched from an iPhone and it took her some getting used to, but she's happy enough with it now.
A53 is cheap and looks a decent phone - my days of paying 40+ s month for a phone are long gone. Nothing phone 1 has decent reviews as well - like the look of the Google Pixel but not keen on that camera strip on the back.
Can’t really help as I’m iPhone based and have been since the 3GS. My Mrs is an android fan and loves the Motorola ones might be worth a look. At the cheaper end but seem pretty decent.
Wife has a pixel 3a, daughter has a pixel 6a they're both very happy with them and they have a decent camera. I've got a Motorola One Vision which is dual sim so I can put personal and work sims in it - also pleased with that. I've also got a samsung A52 from work which is still in it's box - similar spec/size to the Motorola and also dual sim, but I'd only recently got the Motorola when it arrived so it stayed in the box apart from the sim.
Went for a refurbed sim free samsung S21 ultra. So top end but not the latest model. Very powerful device, brilliant camera, battery life.
All I can suggest is never get an Apple (too locked down), Samsung (too much bloatware), so go with someone like OnePlus, Oppo, Honor, or possibly HTC I'd say Huawei but maybe not nowadays
Always had Android, last two phones have been Moto G4 and the Moto G Pro that I've got at moment. Been really happy with both of these, battery life on the G Pro is fantastic and I think Moto phones get the latest version of Android shortly after Google's own Pixel range. And I'm a bit tight, I've always gone for Sim Free phones and, so far, never paid more than £200 for a handset - try to get about 4 years before I change it.
Had a Motorola top ish end and was never satisfied, poor camera, poor call quality. Prior to that had a newer Nokia which was decent but their current range doesn't have the sort of £300 to £400 price range I'd want. Just swapped my Motorola for a one plus Nord 2T, reduced on black Friday from £350 to £270. It's a really good phone. I have an iPhone for work but reckon this is same if not better. Oh and it charges from flat to full in 30 mins and battery easily lasts 36 to 48 hours.
Oppo find X5 pro. Had it a year and I'd choose it again. No problems and an amazing camera. Mine came with free oppo earbuds too which are amazing
Agree about Samsung bloatware, infuriating. Best phone I ever had was a Huawei P10 when it was their flagship. Phenomenal device. Still nearly as quick as the day I bought it. Upgraded to a Xiaomi Poco this year. Can't remember the exact model but it's also very good. Quite a bit heavier than the Huawei though.
Had the pixel 7 pro a couple of months now. No complaints from me, very good camera and battery life.
I'm still using a Huawei Mate pro thing, best phone I've ever had, even with all the things that came out about Huawei after I bought it. I don't want to upgrade as it works fine, but if I do, for me, it's probably back to OnePlus.
Ive had samsung galaxy note ultra 2 about 14 months. Its amazin best phone ive had, only thing ive noticed is the battery isnt as gd as wen i 1st bought it. Missus has pixel 6 ahe likes it
