I had a Huawei P10. I loved it, never had an issue with it. When it came to upgrading, I decided to get a P20 Pro. I got a good deal on it as the P30 was just about to come out, and I got a free Huawei smart watch with it. Its also been great, although there are a few things which makes me think its on its way out. A couple of flickering pages every now and then. Some sites (like this forum) are difficult to use as the text freezes on the screen when typing. I've had it 4 years though so no complaints. You can't seem to buy them now though. None of the networks appear to be offering them as an option. My mums after a new phone (she's got my old P10) so that's part of the reason I'm thinking of upgrading. She can have this one.
Pixel 6 or 7 Pro, will keep getting updates for years, on Android 13 now. Amazing camera. Software continually upgraded.
On a pixel 5. I was a bit wary after years of Samsung. But, I've zero complaints about the Google phone and actually prefer it. So my renewal is up in April I think, and have no concerns about getting an updated pixel either. My eyesight isn't fairing well these days, so I think I'd need a bigger screen (@Stephen Dawson need not comment on eye sight issues haha)
A bit 'left field' but I've been very happy with my Moto G6 plus . Medium Budget phone with some good features ...dual sim decent camera, 4k video but the main features that stood out were a good battery life, clear displayand reasonable sound given the prices, but above all the Android version that was not full of bloatware (Unlike my wife's Samsung tablet). On my 3rd Gorilla glass protector due to clumsiness on my part and the fact that houses here (including ours have ceramic tiled floors rather than carpets) In spite of that it is still going strong and undamaged. It s glass backed but came with a silicon protective rear cover Which I assume is standard. Good network and 4G sensitivity too) Would definitely consider another Motorola when the time comes. No complaints.
Totally disillusioned with Apple. I only went there because Samsung wanted to xharge me more to continue using the phone i was quite happy with. Just fed up of everything being “out of date”, when it was perfectly acceptable to me. Some people like me don’t need all the gizmos.
Huawei were the best phones, Xiaomi just aren't as good. You can get a battery replacement for you Huawei for £24.90 until Jan 15. https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/huawei-care/battery-replacement-service/
Still using a Pixel 4XL as I have no reason to upgrade. Excellent phone using stock Android with zero bloatware. I can't remember it ever malfunctioning in any way, or once I'd taken a couple of hours to get used to facial recognition, it ever infuriating me. It never bothers me other than if I've programmed it to and when I want it to do something, it does it. Paired with Lawnchair launcher it looks entirely unique, and using Brave browser and DNS66 means I never see a single advert. I own it, it doesn't own me and it just works.
