Just seen a post about loan players and it looks like some of those who failed at Oakwell last season have faired no better since the season commenced as Leya Iseka, Oulare seemed to have disappeared off the horizon. Cauley Woodrow not done anything at Luton(although he has been injured) and so it goes on. On a different tack, A Mowatt didn't last long at West Brom and Dike just returned from injury. Helik went to Huddersfield who are now bottom of the championship, C Styles now Injured at Millwall after Clarke Odour can't get a regular game. Morris apart at Luton it has not been a great success for those departing Oakwell since the start of the season..

I’ve just had to Google where Mowatt is now, I didn’t realise WBA had sent him out on loan

Hasn't Oulare done his cruciate or something similar? Long term injury whatever it is so now more than ever he's stealing a wage.

I genuinely believe Iseka would have done well in this division. His lack of strike partner was his undoing for me. He wasn't given game time when Morris recovered from injury.

But MD did have a good look at him and didn't rate him so I guess we have to trust his judgment.

It highlights the impact a good coach can have. Ismael brought out the best in the players he had at his disposal.

I agree, but hopefully he'll return with a better attitude.

Opposite for me , got some talent but what good is that if you are bone idle , Duff is trying to build a team not a side full of individuals & with such as him moving out it has given opportunities for such as Jalo to help his development , I personally do not want to see him in a reds shirt again .

I thought Darren Anderton - aka Sicknote - was bad enough, but this guy takes it to another level

I see it differently. He was in at the start of the season. Showed enough effort. And the effort waned (not that I agree with lack of effort) Because he had little or no support up front. Woodrow was firing blanks. Also I seem to remember Cole/Benson getting on the wrong side of the boo boys for lack of effort. How times change.
Good job Glavin didn't get moved on with some of the opinions of the BBS after his first few games. I also seem to remember Banks having his critics calling him idle.
    Opinions eh.

Indeed, its ok to stroll around if you're Messi, but otherwise you need to put a shift in.

True we all have different opinions, if he came off the bench he looked decent but when he started a game his movement off the ball was none existent ,plus I think he thought that tracking back was something off the railways , whilst Woodrow even when not playing well would work his socks off & never hide ,but Iseka must have had his lazy attitude on the training ground as well which became clear when he was further isolated from the team, I genuinely believe that Duff has introduced a strong work ethic but soon worked him out & hence the current parting of the ways. I think you sum it up perfectly when you mention Cole & Benson because clearly they have bought into Duffs work ethics and both have improved big style this season, its a pity Iseka hasn"t .

What would you say if he came back into the fold. Impressed Duff and got into the side.
Not excusing lack of effort. But when he initially got into the side. He was no worse than anyone else. I'd hope he learned a lesson.

I would say that I trust Mr Duff & if he brought him back & he played & worked to the standard that Mr Duff demands then thats fine , why ,are you expecting this to happen ?

Not really. Just that you said personally you wouldn't have him back. But he's contracted to 2025. so if we don't manage to offload him. May be worth another look.

At the end of the day it doesn"t matter what you and I think , it is down to Duff to formulate his squad & if he wants him back I am sure he would push for it & I am sure if he has been a success at the club he has been at then they will push for a permanent deal , I am not sure how he is doing but if he is the real deal then there will be no shortage of clubs wanting him , january could be interesting for the lad.
