Please can people keep a look out for a Yorkshire Composite Doors Ltd van.. It was stolen from S25 last night! Could be anywhere by now! Thankyou.
Had our eco sport nicked off the drive last night from kexborough. Blue in colour reg YO16 FAK, police were the ones to inform us with a knock the door at half 4 this morning. Used a signal booster to find car keys, start it and drive off. Even managed to block WiFi so cameras didn't pick them up. Police chased them and bumped into them but they still got away, car still not found Neighbour called police while they were in the process of nicking it
Looks like I’m going to start keeping my keys in a lead locked box… there’s some reight bar stewards about! I hope you get them back, but I reckon they’ll either be fired or stripped before you see them again…. I know at our local school we kept getting the mini bus nicked. The police said it was because the thieves knew they were low mileage and used them as donors for older vans….
Don’t know precise numbers but remember reading that only 5% of reported thefts resulted in catching the thief. Modern technology doesn’t seem to be preventing these figures rising. Has hot wiring become a thing of the past ?
Ours has been found and in tact, in the woods up from Tuscany Gardens in Kendray. Sounds like they have been spooked and come off road and then drove into the woods down an embankment. Only visible damage is a small dent in boot door where police tried to ram them off Waiting for it to be recovered
Glad it's been found. Mine was entered on two occasions, not driven off as I have a Krooklock on the steering wheel, but stuff was stolen from the boot. I then bought a Faraday signal-blocking box for the car keys, and then keep the box within the microwave. So far so good; whilst thieves have entered the cars of neighbours in that time, mine hasn't been affected, which makes me assume it works to block the signal.
It’s fords they’re after, they’re so easy to take it’s unreal. Go have a look down Bolton on dearne on the fields. That’s where they seem to be finding all the eco sports. 7 in October alone.
Yeah. It's crazy the lengths they go to, will be investing in a box now for sure that's if and when we get the car back. Although from the outside it looks OK, could be damage underneath from when they have gone down the embankment and steps.
Quite common for them to dump vehicles for a couple of days first in case they have hidden trackers etc on.
Well almost 2 months to the day and the claim has finally been settled. Total write off, got the hassle now of speaking to the gap insurers to claim the rest and the joys of finding a new car
How come it's a total write off when it was only a small bump up the rear? Did those doggers make a mess inside whilst they were in the woods mate?
Total damage to the undercarriage and suspension, due to taking it off road and going to a flight of stairs. Just glad it's sorted and payout before 1pm today
I caught 3 burglars in my house valentines day 2005, 2 of the fekkers were upstairs an 1 ran art of back door as we came home, anyhow cut a long story short, i got stabbed, an arrested at 2am in the morning for GBH, granted i did throw one of the fekkers through a bedroom window then proceeded to smash his head against a host of pot ornaments in the front garden, anyhow at 0430 i was de-arrested and releases as the intruder was up my stairs. He was arrested and committed for aggrevated burgulary, 3 an half yrs, then abart a year later somebody came an asked if i wanted to meet this bloke in a room and talk about my experiance, i told them politely to **** off.
