How on earth was it a penalty? Kitching looked to have his back turned and hands/arm weren’t raised odd decision.
It shouldn't have even got to the stage where a penalty was questioned. In the build up was a clear off side that was totally ignored
7 league games undefeated. I will always take runs like that. The transfer window opens next week, let's hope for some incoming's
I thought the ref started well but got worse the longer the game went on. Some very poor decisions. However, for those of you on here who are attributing her poor decisions to her gender you should be ashamed of yourselves. If you can't think about what you're banging out on your keyboard being wrong before you hit "send" then please try to. If you do think about what you're banging out on your keyboard before hitting "send" and still hit "send" then you really are a lost cause. It's shameful.
I don’t think anyone is disputing she was rubbish. they’re disputing your suggestion that she was rubbish because of her sex.
I think we should be able to make the play offs but need some more attacking options to push for top 2
It’s when you see some of the wrong options we take, like that soft header from Cole and Camden blazing the ball miles over that you see where are shortcomings are
I think it will be a close run thing for play offs - and we need a striker to give us a better shout. I don’t think top 2 is realistic at all. My only criticism of Duff is he should give Jalo more game time as he looks super talented from what I have seen
It looked like a penalty to me, to be honest, much as I find this new handball rule a bit of a mystery. But either way we should have been well ahead by that point, so I find it difficult to get too angry about it.
I must say I didn't notice the referee was female until I read this thread. She was the one in the red shirt with the big 4 on the back, right? That's the only person I noticed refereeing a football match today.
so what? I didn’t say he doesn’t score, just used that as an illustration of our shortcomings today. I don’t dislike him but he’s not what you would call consistently reliable given the number of chances we produce
First half we were so comfortable and in control. Second half, maybe not as good but we still created some big chances through Cadden, Phillips and Cole. They were only ever going to score through a set piece or penalty. Officials were poor throughout but, in this league, I don’t expect much from them in all honesty. Be interesting to see the Cole penalty appeal again.
She's deserving of being in the Hall Of Shame for refs we've had over the years but we had enough chances to be out of sight so her being incompetent at her job shouldn't have mattered. Camden should have made it 2-0 but will never score for us and isn't good enough. Phillips should have scored his one on one.
Jalo isn’t anywhere near ready yet for me. We need some proper options in the January window. Fingers crossed….
On pen, in today’s game I think that’s a pen. On the replay it look to me like Kitching’s arm is in an unnatural position but haven’t seen in slo-mo. Phillips barged off… that was right infront of the linesman and neither gave it. 50/50 for me. Phillips goal side… again, that’s the linesman’s call. He has the perfect view of it. I thought it was a foul. Cole was never a foul. Threw himself down. Would’ve been very soft. Not playing advantage for Wolfe was a bad decision.
