After some scepticism from me it seems to work reasonably well however i think the sequencing of the lights where the old crossroads were need altering, it can take 25-30 mins to get to the M1 in part due to folk going through when there’s no gap and blocking the way when the lights turn green. Another massive frustration and it’s drivers fault they can’t follow simple signs the amount of times I’ve sworn get in right f****ng lane, it’s pure selfishness they must know the correct lane now just chose to try and cut in, this happens going up Dodworth Rd and particularly coming off the motorway towards town.
I was a sceptic, I think it's brilliant now, you'll always get people who are strangers to the system getting it wrong, you'll always get ar*h*les who think the rules don't apply to them and jump lanes, coming down from the motorway has always been like that, unfortunatly that won't change, in fact I think it will get worse all over as the country sinks more and more into a self first bugger the rest society.
really? that's crackers. you'd have to physically come out of the lane and into oncoming traffic to do that.
The amount of ******* idiots who still cannot get in the correct lane when travelling round the junction 37 roundabout is quite scary to be honest. I've had so many near misses with other drivers just cutting across lanes because they're either stupid or ignoring the road markings. I wouldn't hold out much hope of certain people being able to navigate the new gyratory any time soon.
It was mentioned on here about a bridge over the railway, I have noticed some activity. What I can’t work out the need for a bridge over the railway and where it will lead to ?
Does my ******* head in the people on the roundabout. Had some cünt cut us up outside Horizon school cos he was in the wrong lane then cut us up again on the roundabout because he was in the wrong lane. The the thick twãt had the gall to wind his window down and shout at us. You’ll not be surprised to hear that he was driving a pick up.
Living in poggy I've got to admit it's betta than I thowt. lane changing is the biggest problem and yes I've seen a few come from Mi and still turn right on broadway. worst is the lane turning onto school as if their lights red it only takes 4 cars in the queue to block the lane for broadway..stupidest is a woman who missed the school turn so just pulled up in the broadway lane to let the kids out therefore stopping the entire rush hour traffic in the lane...selfish or just stupid hmmm
The only thing wrong with the new road is the thick people using it . As a Poggy resident it’s got my thanks . The bridge will also help kids walking to school
I used to walk that way sometimes to Kingstone, the bridge will make a massive time saving it’s a trek all way round Poggy Rd
Gyratory made a huge improvement. Most days I drive from Broadway to Pogmoor and have noticed a very short time lapse between the lights changing to red for traffic heading to town from the M 1. and the lights changing to green for the Broadway traffic accessing the A628 - Pogmoor..
I never realised there were so many Italians with cars in Barnsley. (Indicating is clearly optional over here)
No idea how it works never seen it but presumably coming from the motorway it splits into two lanes. Would I be right in thinking you stay left for Pogmoor or Barnsley Centre and take the Right lane for Broadway. I can imagine some...ahem...'people' staying right and cutting in for Barnsley centre if the right hand lane is a shorter queue.
I used to teach ...Unless markings direct otherwise..treat it like a clock ..up to and including 12 o clock ...Left hand lane. One to Five o clock R H lane. Use either lane if straight on at exit exit is two lane.
