My mate Glyn, built me a lovely little fitted wardrobe over my stairbox. Only took him a day. £300 plus materials. Swears a bit, mind.
Ypas for me, used to live up Kex and had them regularly. Haven't had anything like as many chippy teas since as they just don't compare. Been back up occasionally.
Sounds ideal! For me the perfect fish and chips are cooked in beef dripping & good quality fish - the beef dripping is a game changer
Best I've ever had was in Wainfleet All Saints near Skeggy, coal-fired frier. To die for. Er, not really near Barnsley though
I will double check but I think Ranmoor friery may do. My favourite used to be broomhead friery in crookes which did but has now sadly closed. 2 steps on Sharrow vale may possibly
Another vote for Darfield Road in Cudworth from me. It's not just the best in Barnsley, it's the best I've ever had from anywhere ever. Fish is cooked to order as you enter the shop and is a very good size. Chips are twice cooked for crispy browness. It's very, very good. Must be ordered open, as with all F&C to retain crispness. Y-Pas also very good.
I've started to ask for the cone sized portion for me and the missus to share. . Large portions are just bonkers. Once ordered 3 lots for 6 of us. Would have fed 10/12 comfortably.
