here we go again. we could seriously end up being forced to play behind closed doors, after what sounded like a 'final warning' with the Bristol fine.
Excellent statement. Condemns the bad behaviour, gives reasons why, let's everyone know that proactive action is being taken to investigate rather than wait for the fa to tell them to and most importantly makes it clear that the support from the vast majority is welcomed.
They are learning with this statement as to how to deal with a situation. Hopefully everyone involved is tracked down and given life bans and those who have assaulted the stewards face criminal charges.
We're going to be made an example of very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if were told to play a game behund closed doors. Some of our fans are so thick they don't seem to understand the seriousness of these incidents and just laugh it off.
tbf we don't have any of the evidence. for all we know, the kid could have run on the pitch while his dad was having a pi$$. we just don't know what happened.
How have the stewards ended up injured then? I'm sure it wasn't accidental. Parents should be in control of their kids. I take my 9 year old when I can and he knows not to go on the pitch.
Do you want the club fined another £30k because of an illegal act or even having to play behind closed doors. 10, 20, 50 or 80 years old, it doesn't matter it's still illegal. What the hell was his dad or whoever had taken him thinking about letting him do it, they deserve a ban for allowing it. It's exactly this sort of behaviour that the club tries to avoid by putting in place age limits, do you want them to stop every body under a certain age from attending.
It wasn't the kid running on the pitch, but the adults getting involved afterwards that no doubt caused the situation to deteriorate resulting in stewards getting injured
I havent seen it but If it was something or nothing then the club wouldn't have put out the statement they did. Let's see how things play out but the club has previous and the FA are all over us at present.
I've got no idea how the stewards got injured. neither do you. we also don't know who injured the stewards. quite possibly nothing to do with the kid or his parents. the only thing I'm suggesting here, is waiting for the evidence before passing judgment. fortunately, that's exactly what the Club are doing.
