In real time......I thought he was given the red card as he was last man. Thats clearly not evident from that footage, I think the ref, if watches that back will be disappointed with the choice if colour on the card. What grates is we just don't get these decisions for us (nil pens in league). That is confusing as it is annoying. Duff still doing a fab job to get us where we are...defence were off it big time today...midfield ok.....strikers....usual powder puff.
For everyone moaning about the decision, if that had been at the other end you'd all be saying nailed on penalty. I've watched the video several times and in my opinion it's a certain penalty. Mads got caught the wrong side and had his hands all over their player. It was stupid from him. The players needs to start taking more responsibility and stop putting themselves in a situation where they are giving the officials the chance to make a decision. Giving 3 penalties in the last 3 games is not good enough.
Spot on there pal, we never get a penalty in our favour. The one at Accrington and against Fleetwood just underline that view
Fair enough I don’t agree that all 3 pens were valid especially the one against Kitchen but the fact is we have fairly clear cut penalties in our favour ignored in 2 of the last 3 games. That’s what’s really winding people up
The thing is mads didn't get turned. Mads was hauled back by their player before this footage starts which is how he got into the position in the first place. I'm certain that the correct decision should have been an easy foul given to us but after he's not given that then the pen is right because mads did foul him. I'm not sure it was an obvious goalscoring opportunity either because I think kitching is close enough to be considered covering. The evidence for that is that kitching actually had to go round the stricken player and it still only took him half a second to get the ball. Key thing for me though was missing the initial foul
He's got both hands on him, the refs giving that all day long. Don't get me wrong, their lads taken a couple of steps to make sure he's in the box before he goes down, but the ref gives them 9/10.
I dont mean to patronise anyone but to anyone who thinks it was a penalty but youve been desieved as the ref has. He purposely tangles with Mads. Look as his arms reaching out as he falls, its ridiculous, unnatural. He's almost looking at the ref as he does it. The penalty thing is becoming a joke. Its a yellow not a red if its deemed a penalty.
Thank you, I’ll try to remember that for the next time. Which will be the next game at this current rate.
It’s a no lose situation for strikers to dive. They either get the decision or the other team get a foul but here’s rarely a yellow card for it anyway so you can see why strikers do it. Just a shame refs fall for it against us but not for us.
I’m going by what’s on the vid. Lead up is lead up. Not getting a free kick doesn’t make him make that challenge. Butterfly effect.
I think Andersen is fouled originally, but he probably had a chance to clear the ball before getting involved in the scuffle with Charles in the first place. Then when he is fouled, he should go down, because there’s no way he’s recovering without giving the pen away, and once pen is given he has to send him off because Kitching only catches up once Andersen fouls him. But similar to what others have said. It’s like foul on Cole late in the game against Accrington, and we got nothing. And quite how the penalty on Norwood in midweek wasn’t given beggars belief. But both today and Thursday night, I think Andersen is too bothered about the player, rather than dealing with the ball. Poor defending on both occasions
The clip does not start earlier enough to see the foul on Mads but doesn't the film show the forward using his hand to direct the ball into his path before going down, otherwise its not even a goal scoring opportunity.
