Anderson given 2 penalties away exactly same in last 2 games now!.....don’t get me wrong here but that’s reason he won’t be going anywhere this season, he will be staying with us which I am glad about.....he good player but overrated by a lot on here, 2 exactly same mistakes in consecutive games that cost penalties.... other players such as Kitchen would have been slaughtered if done same

I know it was “just a mistake”, but that second goal was possibly the most embarrassing 30 seconds I’ve seen at Oakwell in my life and I’ve watched plenty of Tom Kennedy.
I gave up my season ticket after the absolute state of the club last season, this season I’ve seen us get pumped by Lincoln and Bolton, I look at the table and can only conclude there must be some absolute dog eggs in this league for us to be so high. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky?

Terrible referee again then. Completely biased against us. That's the 9786th in a row. What are the chances?

The pen I can just about accept. 1 down and 80 minutes left, game on. The red card is a complete joke though and virtually kills the game.

Please give the Fowls game a miss on the 28th then!! The quality of the league is generally awful though and why we’re top 6.

Callum Elder must have been in charge of our defence for that second.

They wouldn’t have got so many olehs in if Darren Sheridan had been in the pitch .

One official has a good game today. The link Helen Edwards. She got nothing wrong.

Or dare I say it Chris Morgan.

We have no character. Nobody that actually hurts when we concede.

That goal doesn’t happen with players who actually care. The penalty? Was it a sending off? Don’t know, but it happens.

Second goal? Poor. Criminal. But a mistake, and breakdown of comms. Again, as bad as it was, it happens.

The third is the worst by a country mile. Just let the opposition chip it over all of them. Bring the lovely person down for ***** sake if you have to! Show some ******* bottle.

Raging: and I’m sure duff will be too

    This.

It's easy when the opposition just stand and watch.

    Agree
First two were brain farts but it happens , anywhere else on the pitch and it doesn’t get criticised ,
The third we were ball watching for minutes not seconds and that’s disgraceful for prof footballers imo .
As you say anyone who cares doesn’t let that happen especially the two mentioned and many more that haven’t been mentioned .

Just finished reading the twelve pages and I agree with most of what has been said. I travelled down in great anticipation, thinking we would finally lay the Bolton hoodoo to rest. Thing is though, at one time (70s, 80s etc) beating Bolton especially at home was no big deal. I remember when ex-Man Utd star Brian Kidd came with them and we trounced them 3-0. Today they did it to us, but I can't really say they were three goals better. Losing two bad goals in the first half, not to mention our best defender, just seemed to knock the stuffing out of us though. I was hoping for better in the second half, and it was, for a while, but nowhere near good enough to get the two goals back and then go on to win.

The thing that stood out for me most was how quickly they closed us down. While they were able to ping the ball around at will, and even have a run at us now and then, we just seemed incapable of stringing passes together or beating a man. How many times did you see the ball at the feet of a Reds player only for it to be lost within a second or two when he tried to either go past defenders or find a team mate. I know they had the extra man but even when Jordan Williams was on the ball he seemed to have two or three bearing down on him. Matty Wolfe tried a few runs but, as usual, hit a brick wall every time. I don't know whether it is a lack of confidence or lack of ability but a dribbling, forward running player he definitely is NOT.

It's easy to blame the referee for the first disaster - surely a yellow would have been sufficient even if it WAS a penalty. There was definitely a suggestion of a foul on Mads first, but I will have to check that later in slow motion. The second though was something that we all knew was going to happen sooner or later. Let's face it though - this kind of thing happens in the Premier League and even the World Cup, but it was just awful to see it today given the state of the game up to then. The third? Well weren't Peter Kay's mates having a wonderful "olay" time of it and it certainly looked like our players just got mesmerised by the sound of it. It was possibly the worst of the three goals although there was plenty of competition today.

I did something in the 80th minute that I have not done for........well, years I suppose. I walked out early. Straight down the steps without a backward glance. I was freezing, thoroughly annoyed with myself for making the effort to go, and not looking forward to the hour or so I had to drive home. Listening to call after call by moaning Wednesday-ites didn't improve my mood. Apparently they were all upset that their hat trick hero (Windass) didn't celebrate any of his goals or clap the crowd when he went off. Awww, poor lambs! I suppose I stayed longer than many others though - my brother was on his way down the steps after the second goal and he didn't come back. I suspect he might not be back again this season, but we'll see.

So, it's back down to earth with a bump after a good run and don't you just hate it when this happens in front of three thousand or so mocking away fans! They had a lovely day today. I'd like to think that we might get to Wembley for the play off final and then rub their noses in it. After all they would go there expecting an easy win. Today's looks easy on paper but we could have turned it around with 11 players on the pitch and, most importantly, a hungry striker or two. Oh for those far off, glory days when we could take off two top strikers and then bring on another two to kill off the game.
Wonder where they all went too_O

Why are we so rubbish against our promotion rivals? Look at the results below from the other six clubs in the top seven. Played 7, won 1, 5 points out of a possible 21. We don't rise to the big occasions as often as we should be doing. If we are to close on the top top games like today looks a lost opportunity.

    Plymouth - Lost didn't score.
    Sheffield Wednesday - Won.
    Ipswich - Drew.
    Derby - Lost.
Bolton - Drew away lost at home.
    Wycombe - Got battered 3-0.

Because we have a very inexperienced side. That will into win if things go our way.

Tend to agree. He has a lapse in concentration in him, normally it’s giving a daft free kick away for a needless shove on the touch line, unfortunately he’s upgraded to brain fades in our own box.
Hopefully the week off will do him good. If Edwards isn’t fit, then put Williams in the back 3 and Benson at wing back.
    Because they’re better teams?

Bristol Rovers are the only team in the top half that we've beaten at home - we just don't have the attacking options to trouble the better teams when they come and set their stall out unfortunately. We know this, I'm sure Duff knows it but I don't trust Khaled to do anything/enough about it early enough, even if Neerav provides some more cash.

With 3 games in such a short space of time I bet MD was itching to change a couple of things around today but then you look at that bench and think what has he got at his disposal to do it with?

To be fair buddy, Tedic is injured, as is Thomas and Aitchison unavailable. The window only reopened yesterday.

I don't think it'd have mattered had we had Messi up front today. It was one of the biggest write-offs I've seen in my four decades. These things happen. We'd won 6 and drawn one previously.

There'll be a couple of options added up top, I'm pretty confident. How long it will take, and whether they succeed, is something we'll have to find out.

Plymouth first game we weren’t good enough then
    Wednesday Won played really well
Ipswich I think a draw was a great result
Derby Deserved a point but didn’t get it
Bolton we played with 10 men hard to judge
Wycombe. Did us fair and square

Wycombe was the one we were really outplayed with a full side. The rest we’ve done OK
Window is very important for us. At least 1 striker a must.
