9 goals in 20 games for FGR this season.
Been injured since early December though which is his usual problem.....

1 in 2 striker this season, experienced and should be pretty match sharp from playing so much. Not saying we should go for him but we will be linked to worse options this month.

If you're having to sell it to yourself it's a nice to have rather than a necessity.

You're right, it is possible that he's a striker. He doesn't stay fit long enough got us to find out though.

Like Morris with us who's pretty much ever present with Luton. Wickham might stay fit in different surroundings.

To be fair, although I turned my nose up, 6 in 16 in the league is a great return, especially considering that he's playing in a poor team.

But he's 29 and injured. He's not the long term solution to our issues. We've already 2 strikers who are in the 'twighlight' of their career, if we're aspiring to get back to the Championship, Wickham is a short term fix at best. He'd be our 2023 version of Jabo Ibehre.

Unfortunately there is no long term solution, striker does well. striker sold. Striker stays, he’s not scoring enough.

A couple of experienced championship strikers that aren’t getting much game time - Wells / Chris Martin at Bristol or (deep breath) Gary Madine (goal machine) at Blackpool.

There’s not much else going from the championship

for me I'd be looking at quality loan players to the end of the season, to boost our chances of staying top 6. no return on em, the return is the prize of possible promotion. genuinely don't think we're top 2 quality, but half a season in and I definitely think top 6 is achievable. proven champ/L1 strikers are out of reach, and probably also the top 3 L2 strikers. anything beneath that and I'm not convinced we're improving what we already have, in terms of quality.

January is notoriously hard to bring people in.

Agree with this. Sounds like Hull may let Tyler Smith out if they get a couple in. Him and another would do me. Cannon from Everton would be my first choice but he’s got a few suitors. The pigs are leading the race though by sounds. Massive…..

Isn't the slight problem with Gary Madine that he's one of the biggest knuts known to man?

yep he is. Scratch that though, he’s getting a bit more game time than what I thought
