From the flimsiest of sources, Football League World. That's one step up from me saying I've heard it from a bloke in the pub, but I do love a good rumour.

Barnsley, Plymouth and Salford are interested in Tranmere midfielder Josh Hawkes. 4 goals in 22 for them in league 2 this season.

Not an impressive record is it, if you look at his whole career? Need something better

He might be decent, Sunderland produce a lot of good young players. He’s a midfielder though. It’s a striker or two we need desperately.

I agree about strikers but It's central defence, full back we need cover. Cadden and Williams are made of glass and Mccarthy is a long term injury.

I still reckon he didn't know his arse hole from his elbow and he's dropped on at Sheffield Utd. He thought number 10's were Eskimo's and lived in Igloos.

To be fair, Burnley have a much better squad. As do West Brom.

I'll give you Burnley. Berge is the best midfielder in the championship for me they did really well to keep him alot of prem teams were interested. Iliman Ndiaye is a top player and they have mcburnie and brewster that cost the over 40million combined. There team should be top 2 minimum for me class all over it.

I'm not one for rumours and my sourcers are usually from outer space, but when i was in Grimsby the other day, i heard two kid's talking an i heard Barnsley mentioned, an one of em said that he had a mate that knew a kid from Manchester that went to Coventry for work, who knew a driver from scunthorpe, who met this Lorry driver from Leeds, that went to Huddersfield on the train on a Saturday morning, who knew the cleaner in the cafe at the bridge in Halifax,, anyhow they were hosting Bradford in a friendly, an there Manager, knew the Manager of there last 0pp0nents Leyton Orient, who played for Darlington in his younger day's, an he had an uncle from Liverpool who used to run a football team in Tranmere, that moved to Southend , to be by the seaside, an he had a goalkeeper that played for Southampton, when he was at College, who used to share a room with this kid from Brighton, who went out with this kanny lassie from Newcastle, that used to help out in the Stadium of light in Sunderland, whose fiance ran away with a Monkey Hanger in Hartlepool, who knew a lass from Barnet that went to Charlton regular, where she met this guy on a train from Exeter that went through the tunnel into Plymouth, and onto Bournmouth where they met up with this Ipswich fan that told him, they went to Tottenham market and had a pint at the station in Chelsea, an a mate of theirs from Oxford who stole a car in Norwich went to Cambridge for a while, where on remand he went to Salisbury to meet a squaddie he met in Hereford whose Searent Major came from Birmingham, who was married to an Helicopter pilot from Carlisle, an used to travel to Walsall, an all over the Midlands, Anyhow cut a long story short were in for a Midfielder, called Hawke's who's got one of his neighbours dog's, apparently.

The comms at one of their recent games on Sky said that Hecky had stated Ndiaye was close to joining Barnsley when he was struggling initially.
No one seemed to know his best position, he didn't seem to fit in and a move away was thought to be the best option. Then he got a chance and the rest is history.
Looking at his record at the Blunts I'd say it was probably around the time either Schopp or Asbaghi were in charge.
