Not a band but I need to throw in Michael f@@king Bublé, and don’t get me started on his Christmas album.

my opinion is probably is at odds with most :)

that’s whats fantastic about music though, I don’t care if I don't like it, neither do others I assume, I love people who are passionate about what they love though. Be into it, whatever it is.

As I always say whenever this particular thread gets another airing, it’s about personal taste. And I never list a ‘worst band ever’ because if I don’t enjoy a song/band, I turn it off. And in this modern era where you can listen to whatever you like on such as Spotify, that isn’t even possible.

Old Nutkins will have heard - at best - about three blink tracks. He’s not - therefore - in a position to say they’re a **** band.

I, meanwhile have been listening to them for about 27 years, seen them countless times live - the soundtrack to my life. So I can say they’re ****.

Each to their own but early Fleetwood Mack - late 60s early 60s (or at Least Peter Green) produced at least one great song (Man of the World) and later 'The chain' (synonymous with F1) both of which are classics.
Most of the Smiths tunes are based on the older Emergency Services sirens. Major Third intervals ascending and descending with the odd 2nd thrown in! Oh! and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are pretty much all the same tune!!

You’ve said this before and I have no memory of it. I don’t remember her collecting autographs or being a Duane Eddy fan

Just to correct you, The La's is one of the best debut albums ever made and Lee Mavers was a genius. Just so you know :)

I do agree Cast are $hite though. A pale imitation.

Biffy are one of my top 10 of all time, mainly the early stuff mind. Some of those early 00s gigs of theirs are easily the best I've ever been to. Sure @pompey_red would agree

Sylvian...a cross between David Bowie and Bryan Ferry. Mick Khan was some bass player though and Barbieri was err....unconventional... (in a good way)with the sounds and styles he produced on keyboards.

Not to everyones's taste they were pretty 'left field' but I liked a lot of their stuff.

Rage Against the Machine had elements of rap (ish) in the vocal delivery and they're on another level. Incredible band

Insufficient expletives in your description of Buble there old boy. He makes 'lift music' sound exciting. Third rate crooner aided by big orchestra backings and modern production techniques regurgitating old classics without actually adding anything to them. You might as well stick to Sinatra, Bennett, Dean Martin and Bing Crosbie if you like that sort of stuff.
'The weather outside is frightful' he croons, but I'd still rather be out in it than have to sit through one of his bloody Christmas albums:eek:

    Clash at their Sandinista stage.
A triple album of “ all sorts” when they should have stuck to the image and sound that made them

Just for a bit of balance, Steve Harley/Cockney Rebel would have been on my list, but we went to see The Strawbs and Steve Harley was on the same bill. He was absolutely fabulous. Can’t wait to see him again.
