Tbh I want to turn them off at times , not to ignore or deny but They show suffering at its lowest ebb and of course we want to do something , who the hell wants to see people, animals , plants , the natural world etc suffer ? I’m sure most of these charities are well meant and dedicated but it’s a world problem and should be far beyond charitable donations by now and once again the Tories (along with othe right wing political groups )have surpassed themselves by lowering the third world budget on exaggerated cynical rhetoric .
Anyone but Save The Children where the volunteer keeps pointing to different kids saying that child has Pneumonia, that child has Pneumonia, that child has Pneumonia. It's been on the TV since at least 2019 so if those kids still have Pneumonia four years later something is wrong.
We have put a child through education from him being 7 years old to now graduating at 17 It was a few quid to us but probably the world to him and his family Looking at starting again with another child soon Not for everyone but fulfilling for us
I was walking through tarn yesterday and this Charity worker, asked me if i'd like to take part in a Marathon, i was gunna decline, until he told me it was for Disabled Kids, And i got to thinking, Foook me, i could win this.
I feel horrible about myself, but usually I turn over because it often feels like a deliberate guilt trip, usually supported by rich stars narrating the voiceover…
The adverts do make me wonder how much of a marketing and business team they have…. It’s a difficult one, they need to secure income streams, and need to make a living, but….
