not sure I've seen a downturn in effort tbf. I've seen a downturn in ability, composure and decision making. can't really fault em for graft though. apart from the 3rd at bolton. that was atrocious. just stood and watched em pass ball round us for 60 seconds.

The manager can give them a boot up the arse, and I'm sure he has, but effort 100% is the player's responsibility. In an ideal world, with a bigger squad, we could penalise those who are (in your eyes) not putting the effort in by dropping them, but we don't exactly have that luxury
