    I hadn't realised Smith wrote the verses... never actually listened to any of Bruce's versions of the song. Have the original 7 inch somewhere that I bought back in the 70's. Thanks for sharing. There is a documentary on Jimmy Iovine's career that I think may be on Amazon Prime which is well worth a watch, if you haven't seen it.

    Things you learn eh. I never knew the Blondie version was a cover. Their first performance of that on TOTP is one of the standout moments of the 70’s At least if you were a teenage male :) don’t think I’ve ever heard the original until now

    Thin Lizzy's cover of Bob Seger's Rosalie, Bob penned it as a tribute to Rosalie Trombley who was responsible for introducing him to a wider public, alongside other acts she had helped to break like Alice Cooper and Aerosmith.
