    We've just signed a right back on loan. He'll be Edwards replacement and this lad will be back up. Good business. Just need a centre forward and left back.

    Don't think we need a left back, got Cadden and Larkeche plus Oduor if we're desperate.

    Yeah.

    Been playing on the right of a back three at Bristol Rovers though so positionally an ideal replacement for Edwards.

    Cotter, if incoming, would be competition/cover for Williams.

    Or his replacement….

    We were after cover in that position prior to the rumours of Williams going to Preston. I guess we still need it, considering Benson is the only senior right wing back cover we have if Williams is required at centre half, or gets injured again. Based on his showing on Saturday, I wouldn't say it's Benson's best position.

    Putting 2+2 together to make 22. Just wondering if this is the first one we thought we had got through the January door. Irish reports indicate our interest in him for a while and the Barnsley shirt he is pictured wearing has no logo so could have been taken late December/ early Jan.

    I think I saw an interview with Benson saying the previous couple of times he moved to RWB, Edwards was at centre back and pretty much telling him where he needed to be. Doubt he'd get that from Williams, who's positional sense isn't the best, and uses his pace to compensate.

    Having read the article about his debut against us, you'd think he was Lionel Messi, or Paddy McCourt.

    Ipswich have form for completely mismanaging talented players. Look at how Kieffer Moore was completely written off.

    Edwards was quite underrated. I think he helped get the best out of Williams, and he'll be greatly missed.

    Like the good old days taking low cost punts on the likes of Shez and Bullock. Some guys at a low level are more than good enough but don't always get seen. Let's hope he's one of them.
