    Indeed. He was part of a twin spearhead with Barrie Thomas. Evans was referred to by his teammates as "The Prof", because he had got five passes at O-level!

    My biggest memory of Johnnie Evans was him knocking one in with his fist and it being allowed to stand. Didn't quite make it in the press like Maradona. My memory unfortunately does give a link to the game.

    I thought that was Barrie Thomas? I was at the game, it was really obvious but I can’t remember the opponents
