    If he’s the player I’m thinking of, he was quite highly thought of when he broke through at Hibs. Looks to have gone off the boil a little bit since then which is very much the kind of player we often look at.

    I think he should be decent at this level. Certainly would give us more options, which can’t be a bad thing.

    On a serious note arguably Two of Barnsley’s best ever players have come from North of the Border
    Sir Ronnie and Johnny Kelly.
    Hope he is s half as good as either and we’ll have a great player on our hands .

    He is from Derry. In Northern Ireland. And, as much as I admire Paddy, you can't have seen Ronnie play if you think McCourt is the best player we've signed from a Scottish club.

    Whilst we still have better players on our books out on loan I find it hard to justify bringing players in that are of a lower standard.
