good luck to the lad. shame it hasn't worked out, for whatever reason. I thought there was a player in there, from the little I saw.

    Good luck to him.

There have been a few too many of these types of signings recently, that are neither first team or u21/23s level. Likes of Cameron Thompson, Dan Bramall, Isaac Christie-Davies. My fear is that Cotter will follow a similar path, hope not though.

No mention of us having a future interest. Wonder if we do, or we just don’t mention it anymore?

Good luck Will. Might make a decent CM. Wasn't a right wing back.

    Good luck to him.

Where has he been this season? Injured? Out on loan? Or just not selected? I had assumed he was out on loan somewhere.

Will the 'undisclosed fee' be enough to pay for Cotter and Shaw? Hope so.

Saw David Bremang had been released by Crawley today as well. I understand why we take a punt on players who have been released on frees by premier league clubs, but there are at least as many flops as there are success stories.

Itl be interesting whether he continues his career as a central midfielder or whether the club was right in trying to re train him as a right wingback

No way mate (in my opinion anyway). He was a squad player, hardly played at all, and he's only gone Northampton, so they won't be paying bucket loads. Maybe Cotter but no Shaw too. I reckon we probably got 40k or less for him. Least his wages are off the books too. Although apparently they've been after him for last 3 transfer windows so maybe they paid more to finally get him?

Think we know the answer to that. It is time someone had a critical look at the recruitment “strategy” and put it in the bin along with its operator. Pinching money.

Punts and more desperate punts every time. Time it was scrapped

Lad couldn't play. Good luck to him that he got a professional contract at a Championship club, he's earned a lot of money, and he's still earning money now that someone else has taken him on. But he can't play. There's hundreds of thousands of young men and women with way more talent than this lad has in their prospective fields, who get nowhere, but we have to show deference to this lad. Well, OK, I don't want to have a go at him, but he was so bloody lucky. 99.9% of the population don't have that luck.
