    With two successive games called off, it probably was. They were probably playing the game anyway, or something like it, then opened it up after the Exeter debacle.

    I bet you're wrong. Nothing was said about announcing any signings. It was a fantastic gesture from the Club, and everyone there really appreciated the time that players spent with the kids afterwards. Players get injured. These games will be played behind closed doors and on training pitches every day, at every Club.

    Cricky some people can find a negative in anything the club put on pr exercise free food and a chance for the kids to meet their heroes . Hopefully no one is seriously hurt but if they are it's nothing that couldn't happen in a competitive game in a closed training session

    It was a training session game, the type that will generally happen three or four times times a week - only on the first team pitch with a few free tickets to watch given away.

    No more likely to be injured in the game than in any training session.

    It was a nice gesture by the club and as much as there are plenty of sticks to beat the club with at times, this isn’t one of them.

    Well, my 8 year old grandson loved it.

    Warm sausage roll and hot chocolate to start and pictures with the players after.

    James Norwood in particular put a shift in on and off the pitch - didn't want to leave - it was much appreciated.

    My cunning plan to create a dyed in the wool Reds fan before I shuffle off is coming along nicely.
