Bigger club? How do you work that out? Other than in the mid 70's-80s? What are you actually basing that on? The fact you don't like our owners? No way will they do a Brighton - they haven't got nowhere near the money Brighton had. That's why I want them to get promoted, it'll be such a refreshing scene to have a team like them in the Premier league, gives us something to aspire to.
Whilst a few have stated their favourite or best to wear the Shirt. And it really is a tough shout. Those that have been mentioned were quality. The best to wear the shirt in my humble opinion afore any body tells me I'm wrong. Heinz Mùller. Who had very little if any ( can't think of any).flaws in his game. Closely followed by Watson.
Watching Wrexham game ,if Adam Davies was championship standard. Brad Collins is Premier league. I can't beleive how poor he looks.
Bigger club? Do a Brighton? Luton are moving to a ground that holds 17k Brighton moved to one that held 30k Luton is a town Brighton a city. Don't get me wrong I'm not going all Wednesday but I don't see them as a bigger club probably similar size to us but in a better league and can pay more at the minute. There signing our 2nd choice keeper if that's behind a promotion push god help them.
I liked Davies, and I often get slated for saying this, but I thought he was a little overrated and Collins is the better keeper. Funny old game is football with all these varying opinions ey
I was thinking exactly the same. Maybe when he played for us we had our rose tinted glasses on. Maybe we are underestimating Brad Collins as a good keeper.
“The fact I don’t like the owners”. Don’t be weird! Give your head a wobble lad. I'm just proferring an opinion. Luton have had more seasons in the top flight than us and they have been around 50 years less. They have won an honour in the last 100 years and they have an ownership and a fan base who aspire to the top flight and (critically) are doing something about it. I'd love to see us aiming for the best we can be but.. we don't....not really. When we threaten success we then take a number of decisions to ensure we don't achieve it. Looking around us in Tier 3 I'd say there are 10 teams who are likely to experience the top flight before us. Three In League 2 and probably one in the Conf Wrexham!

I think the second half of your paragraph proves my my point. As I said, other than the 80s when they won the cup. They've also been in the lower league/non-league a lot, lot more than us. Bit harsh on us saying they've won something in the last 100 years when if you add an extra 10 years & a month to that, we've also won something.. That's not including the big one... Paint trophy.
Not sure where the.50 years less comes from. They were founded before we were. They've won the League Cup we've won the FA Cup in both our entire histories.
I thought that too but I just assumed he meant they were non-league for ages? Haha... Can't say I'm an expert on Luton FC circa 1885-1960
Fair enough.but we only came.into the league in 1898 so that would make it 22 years. No worries, don't want to get into a maths debate, I was just bemused.by the statement that they'd been around 50 years less than us
Fair point, and as I don’t work for the Daily Mail, I acknowledge my exaggeration. My point was essentially around the different levels of ambition that exist at different Clubs. The fact we’ve been around for so many years - spent more seasons in Tier 2 than any Club in history - and yet still only spent one season in the top flight, really pi$$es me off. I think we should aspire to more than that and I think the support deserves better.
I thought Davies became a liability in the Hecky-Morais relegation season, and he needed dropping. That was when Walton made his debut wasn'nt it, and I had high hopes for the lad. But in fairness he's not gone onto better things since then, for various reasons. This possible move to Luton for a few undisclosed quid might suit him.
Peculiar if this comes off. We have given our fourth choice keeper Macy to Portsmouth on loan. Isted is our third choice and has always done well when he plays and our rumour mill says he is going to you on loan. Our second choice is Horvath who is playing at present as our first choice Shea is coming back from injury and is nearly fit again. Umm, thanks again for Morris and Woodrow as finally started to figure and play well
Seems strange that we are supposedly getting a keeper in on loan, could Collins be on his way out as well
