We've a lot of midfielders. Martin will be even further down the pecking order and Thomas is closer to a first team return. I think Martin will struggle to get on the bench, which isn't a good look for a loanee.
https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/spor...on-russells-huddersfield-town-plight-25680361 Decent article about him here
Sounds a decent player but that’s the position we’re stacked in. Connell, Kane, Benson, Phillips, Thomas, Martin, Wolfe Obviously Wolfe is injured but it says a lot about how much Duff rates Martin
Think it's a good move - Wolfe is out for the season, Benson is out and injury prone and Martin has shown next to nothing for a while. Good to have Thomas coming back but it's early days for him and given Kane and Connell are picking bookings up quite regularly we will need someone in there. He's a mormon
Is Martin really a midfield option in a 352? Thought he was a forward / winger, and when he has been brought on it’s been for one of the forwards. Thomas is similar, but more likely to be able to play a bit deeper, but needs time to get fit.
It does but won’t make him any worse than Wolfe, he does sound very similar. Young, relatively inexperienced defensive midfielder with potential. Unfortunately our financial situation only affords potential.
I hope he works out he's got pedigree. Can't help thinking could this have been avoided if we'd given Christie-Davies a run. Similar profile. It's strange how one players face doesn't fit but another does. Not complaining a good signing on the face of it.
That’s possibly the worst article review of a player I’ve ever read. It doesn’t seem to mention a single redeeming feature about him. Let’s hope Duff can bring the best out of him. Whatever that is.
He’s played well over 100 games. Nothing in common with ICD On paper you’d hope he’s the best signing of the lot but will probably be the worst of the lot
