I'm equating the enjoyment of watching females fight, to a song that's been around for ever which nobody in their right mind has ever used or thought about using to justify domestic violence.

I agree banning this song is unenforceable.

The lyrics to the Stoke City 'version' of Delilah are very different to the original lyrics - with strong sexual connotations the lyrics are crude and offensive and should be banned.

This could lead to an influx of songs getting banned from the radio, coward of the county comes instantly to mind and there must be hundreds of others

Does this mean that all TV shows and films that include violence should also be banned ?

I suppose requesting Nick Cave's "Murder Ballads" to be played at half time would be an issue to some...

First they came for the Welsh choir play lists...

But seriously, I can understand songs being banned if they glorified domestic violence, but Delilah doesn't do that. I don't think anyone is suggesting Tom Jones is a misogynist.

Art is meant to be thought provoking and sometimes controversial and it should not be sanitised just because someone might become offended. Scenes of domestic violence, rape etc. are frequently portrayed in TV dramas and that can be "triggering" for some people, but I don't see their portrayal being banned. I don't see this as being much different.

If anyone is seriously making a link between the singing of Delilah at a Welsh rugby match and domestic violence they need to give their heads a wobble. In the list of effective actions that could be taken to reduce domestic violence this doesn't appear on the first 100 pages.

Knee jerk decision that hasn't been properly thought through. All it does is remove a little bit of joy from the world.

No, but I wouldn't expect them to be played on the big screen at a rugby match, or re-enacted by a choir.
