    This is such a dense comment.

    No one is getting offended by the song. The WRU as a brand have decided the lyrics don't proport their values and won't be playing it any more, which is understandable.

    As always this really infuriates the gammon types who spend their days looking for things to be offended by, then getting really, really angry, directing their anger at imaginary 'snowflakes' who don't exist in this case.

    We saw a classic gammon response on here yesterday. Barnsley win a tricky away game, but angry gammon are outraged that we had the temerity to defend the lead for the last 20.

    So just to be clear. While everyone’s arguing about the meaning of a song, liars, bullies, incompetents, psychopaths, racists, perverts and rapists (otherwise known as HM Government and Metropolitan police) use the right wing media to get us to keep on arguing about the meaning of a song so they can carry on with lying, filling their pockets and drawing up laws to prevent us ever being able to speak out against them.

    The word "gammon" used in that context is racist.

    It's literally a reference to skin colour so don't pretend it isn't.

    It's always the right-on types who turn out to be the biggest bigots.

    I'm sorry but gammon clearly isn't a race. The red colour is induced by the constant rage they feel, so it's a slur on their emotional state more than skin colour.

    Might be borderline xenophobic at a push.

    You are correct. The politically correct term to replace gammon is "flag shagger"

    It is nothing to do with skin colour but attitude. One you frequently display. It is quite possibly to be a BAME or female gammon - I give you James Cleverley, Priti Patel or Suella Braverman.

    Classic Berni Inn dish when going out to eat started to become a routine thing.

    Big slice of thick gammon, slice of pineapple on top, fried egg and a pile of chips. I am literally drooling thinking about it

    This is a distraction - WRU are being slammed for institutionalised sexism, racism and misogyny with their head resigning, banning choir's from singing a song is just window dressing it solves none of their bigger issues.

    Impossible because the cherry flavour overpowers it and they’re everywhere anyway.

    There was an excellent Berni restaurant on the corner just down from York railway station, where it joined the old A64. I used it a lot during the couple of years I was stationed at Linton on Ouse, 1971-73. They were all the same I suppose but the quality was always there.
