It’s a lovely little ground and I used to love going there watching Cheltenham move up the non-league pyramid. Never thought they’d actually reach the Football League but they did. I was there that freezing midweek night when the Reds went down there and won 3-1 with their manager drooling over the talent we had up front (Dyer and Sheron). A similar result will do nicely
I was about to reply that it was more recent than that as I remember going last time, then I remembered I'm getting old - cripes
When I last went that away end was a narrow strip of open terrace with a big gap in the middle leading to the exit. It's covered now, and seated. Glad to see that they still have the old fashioned, original stand down the side behind the dugouts. Just like our west stand, only smaller. I hope (and expect) Michael Duff gets a tremendous welcome from the home fans because they owe him a lot and he left under good terms.
Twenty is plenty when they came to us. https://www.ctfc.com/news/2022/july/tickets--travel-information-for-barnsley/ No side at this level should be charging so much.
So how do they square this one? Can they charge differently if the view is side-on (if this is actually the case). I want 6 tickets and £36 is a heck of difference.
Especially not in a tiny ground like theirs with a worm's eye view. Are they getting back at us for stealing their head coach maybe....?
Was it so long ago? Their manager was Gary Johnson. I think it must have been arranged when Little Lee was our gaffer, If I remember correctly the ground is in the middle of a housing estate with little parking available.
Trying to milk these massive promotion chasing clubs for every penny knowing they will bring one of the better followings of the season.
