It’s to do with file size. If you are up losing from an iPhone generally the files are too big to upload. Dunno whether the server settings have changed for upload maximums but it’s not worked for months.
Worked fine for me for years on android including both my current phones then just stopped working one day.
As a test, I've just downloaded @JLWBigLil's lovely picture then tried to upload it again myself. I just get the error message that @Stahlrost posted earlier. I'm no tech expert, but if this was a file size problem, then surely either both of us would be able to upload it or neither of us? It's the same file. @JLWBigLil How did you manage it?
Mrs C sent me photos of boobage issues she was having with with a new dress. I’d show you, if I could..
I simply highlight the tool bar of a photo available on the internet & post it in the image icon, mate. North Bay, Flamborough.
Yes but worrabart loading summat from your desktop or files? Every time I try to upload it actually does it then says 'error.'
Kev, the problem is when you try to load one of your own photos, not one off the interweb. it comes up with the error message. Try it and see what happens.
Admin, can this be sorted. I posted about this several days ago. It is not about file size. I have tried it with very small images and still nothing. The toolbar in the reply window (smilies, image (URL) media (URL) and insert used to contain another icon - 'file' (I think) and you could copy paste or even drag drop files and images from your PC or laptop (not sure about phones). That icon disappeared fairly recently. I suspect all these uploaded images that do appear on the BB come from URL and the internet NOT the poster's local hard drive. Quite often people want to post a photo or something without having to upload it onto the internet via something like dropbox then download onto a post as a URL or link. It is time consuming and loses spontaneity. I remember the old way gave an option too -'full photo' or 'thumbnail' . Size (within reason) did not matter ...err..leave it Mr. Dawson
