Imho the ref has got away with one there. Hopefully he will reflect on that awful awful decision. On a positive... well done reds great point. My mom was Thomas...looks a decent footballer.
Love the enthusiasm but our best player can't be under threat of his place because a bloke has a decent throw in .
I think he's referring to the fact that we lost vs Plymouth, Derby, Wycombe, and took a point from Ipswich and Bolton. Of course we've still to play them all again (barring Bolton), and we did take 3 points from Wednesday and Peterborough. It would be nice to take some points off the fellow top 6 in the run in.
Just back on train to London. A game we should have won in the first half, could have lost in the second and got a deserved point from in the end. You can blame the ref that we didn't get to 1-1 earlier but the only reason we didn't win that was our first half finishing. We were excellent in the first half and need to convert when we're so on top. Nevertheless if we get 4 from every 6 away from home and do the business at home we won't be far away. PS - Bobby Thomas is a Beast!
I’ll give you that, but we were losing at the time of posting, didn’t look like scoring, and all other results were going against us. Admittedly, it was a little premature.
It was a real-time reactive post, reflecting my annoyance at what felt like a ‘typical’ Barnsley performance - play really well, don’t score, give a goal away.
Its annoying but then again if our players were constantly clinical they wouldn't be playing for barnsley or any league 1 team
I've not posted much on the BBS for a long time, but feel I have to point out that there's some right sh11te getting posted on these matchday threads lately. We've won 8, drawn 2 and lost 2 of our last 12 league games. What the **** more do some of you lot want? A fair few posters on the BBS were tipping us for relegation before the season started and a dive into oblivion thereafter, with many more predicting mid-table obscurity. I was in the mid table obscurity cohort. I repeat. We've won 8, drawn 2 and lost 2 of our last 12 league games with a +7 GD. That's a 67% win rate and 26 points at an average of 2.2 per game which is automatic promotion form. Considering we were supposed to be wnak this season, that's some going over the last few months. Of course we have shortcomings as a team. It's League One for god's sake. We're in it because we are a bit ****. There's plenty to be pi55ed off about with BFC. I think Oakwell is an absolute shed these days. The club is years behind where it should be in many aspects of a professional sporting organisation. The food's turd. The beer is dreadful and service even worse. Getting to the ground is utter toss. Getting away from the ground is purgatory. Take your pick. But Jesus Christ, having a go at the team that's been delivering outstanding league form for the past few months seems bizarre. It's an almost pathological need to find misery where none exists. Up the Reds.
A bit harsh on scapegoat Cole when he scored and managed to get clean through on goal (admittedly should have scored but at least he was there to miss it) For me Watters or Shaw need to earn Coles place which I'm not sure either did today, I can't remember either even having a shot at goal.
You're correct about all. Especially the ground. We need to update. We need atmosphere back. All we have these days is fans who moan and if Its not the players they are moaning at, its our own fans if we try to create an atmosphere.
Tuesday Norwood went one on one at 2 nil and should have buried it. No one said much, Cole misses a chance and he should be replaced by Shaw or jalo on this thread
